Icarus Beta Terms of Use and Risk Disclosure
Version: 2026-09-13-beta-1

Icarus is experimental software for configuring automated trading on supported third-party exchanges. It does not promise profits, a particular execution price, continuous availability, or a complete hedge. These terms do not identify an incorporated operator, claim a regulatory licence, or establish a particular governing jurisdiction.

Eligibility and decisions. Use the service only if you are legally permitted to use the exchange and this software where you live. You decide which Accounts, markets, amounts and risk limits to authorize. Information shown by Icarus is not personalized investment advice. You are responsible for applicable taxes and exchange requirements.

Keys and authority. Your Owner wallet private key and seed phrase remain in your wallet. Icarus stores an encrypted dedicated Agent signing key on its server and uses it to execute authorized trading while you are offline. Trading permissions can place orders, change leverage and cause losses. Aftermath's Account assistant role can also add builder approvals; Icarus's intended execution policy does not allow those commands. Encryption does not eliminate compromise risk. Do not use Accounts shared with another bot or manual strategy.

Funds and execution. Collateral remains in your Aftermath Accounts under the exchange protocol. Maker and Hedge Accounts have separate margin and liquidation risk. A fill on one Account does not guarantee a fill on the other. Delays, partial fills, unavailable liquidity, funding, fees, gas, oracle issues, liquidation, contract bugs and infrastructure failures can result in substantial loss, including all allocated collateral. Equal deposits do not guarantee equal exposure or eliminate these risks.

Approvals and stopping. Review exact transaction amounts, destinations and permissions before signing. Selecting Accounts or approving setup does not start trading. Start trading is a separate action. Pausing new orders is different from closing positions or revoking Agent permissions. Existing orders may fill after a pause request. Revocation alone does not cancel orders or close positions; maintain access to Aftermath directly for emergency account management.

Costs and third parties. Exchange trading fees, funding, price impact and network gas may apply. Review the displayed costs and any separate exchange terms. A funded Gas Pool pays eligible network fees; it does not grant trading authority or guarantee sponsorship. Do not assume unused gas or token balances are automatically refundable through Icarus.

Service and limitations. The software is provided on an as-available experimental basis. Features may fail or be suspended. There is no guarantee of fitness, uninterrupted execution or recovery of losses, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here excludes non-waivable consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Use at your own risk is not a waiver of all legal obligations.

Data and records. To operate your profile, Icarus records public wallet addresses, selected Account IDs, configurations, encrypted Agent credentials, signed approvals, transaction digests, operational logs, and Telegram identifiers if you connect Telegram. Blockchain transactions are public and cannot be deleted by this service. Do not submit seed phrases or Owner private keys. No assertion of a fixed retention period is made here.

Acceptance and updates. The setup transaction includes this version's SHA-256 commitment. By checking the acceptance box and signing, you acknowledge reading these terms and authorizing the displayed setup. Icarus retains the version, content hash and confirmed transaction digest as evidence. Material changes require renewed acceptance before new risk is authorized; access to risk reduction must not depend on accepting new terms.
